AUSSTELLUNG // [BEYOND:WALLS]

// english below

// Im April diesen Jahres ist im Rahmen einer kollektiven Kunst & Netzwerkarbeit zwischen Bremen & Kolumbien ein neues Wandbild an der Fassade der SPEDITION entstanden. Seit März arbeitet der FLINTA* Zusammenschluss aus Kunstschaffenden* in einer künstlerisch-partizipativen Forschung zwischen Bremen, Bogotá und Medellín zum Thema Mural, Urban Art und Graffiti in Kolumbien.

// In April this year, a mural was created on the walls of SPEDITION as part of collective art & networking between Bremen & Colombia. Since March, a FLINTA* association of different artists* has been working in the project in an artistic-participative research between Bremen, Bogotá and Medellín on the topic of mural, urban art and graffiti in Colombia.

With brush, roller, can, paste up and stencil art, a mural was created that shows hands & gestures as an expression & symbol of collective action, intercultural encounter and artistic-political resistance and addresses queer power and empowerment.

At the same time, the collective work on the mural picks up the tradition of artistic interventions as a creative act of resistance in public space in many countries of Central and Latin America.
In direct neighborhood to the great murals of ERRE and TOXICÓMANO CALLEJERO, DJ LU/JUEGA SIEMPRE and LESIVO from Bogotá which were created in the last years together with Stencil Artists SUPER 8 in Bremen at SPEDITION just around the corner.

We invite you to the final exhibition of the hybrid mural and urban art project „[Beyond:Walls]“ with a presentation of the mural and other works created, photos, interviews and a short documentary film from the project. We collect money for the art collective @casakolacho and current protest movements in Colombia.
