Ousmane Sembène is one the most influential and relevant figures of Pan African Cinema, his anti-colonial stance to tell stories beyond, exotic and paternalistic projections onto Africa and its people, makes his films so captivating and inspiring to many contemporary African film makers and beyond.
LATINX SUMMER FEST
Summer sounds like Cumbia, it smells like tacos, tamales, and freshly baked empanadas.
On July 25, Kartell Kultur e.V. together with Spedition e.V. will transform Spedition Bremen into a meeting place – full of music and culture, with good food and great people from the community.
From 4:00 PM onwards, a colorful program for the whole family awaits you 🙂
A growing sensory archive
On July 23, starting from 18:00, we invite you to a first public experiment of Memory Bar at Spedition. Join us for an evening of tasting, conversation, listening and shared reflection.
Memory Bar explores how seasonal and regional ingredients can become entry points to memory through taste and smell. We use different preservation techniques to archive seasonal, locally available ingredients which will be used in the drinks served.
