// Anas Maghrebi
is a Syrian musician based in Berlin. His first solo album, titled „Daftar Layli“ -Arabic for „The Night Notebook“, will be released in the fall of 2021. The sound of the album can be described as singer/songwriter guitar-driven indie folk.
// Muqata’a مُقاطَعة
Muqata’a :: Musician/Beat-Maker based in Ramallah, Palestine.
// Arabian Panther النمر العربي
Arabian Panther (Toulouse, France) is a French/Lebanese Producer & DJ. He plays masked, behind a black keffiyeh, leaving the fictional character he has created The Arabian Panther (which he depicted the stories through his music) on the spotlight rather than him. Creator and member of the collective and label “Toulouse Gouffre Club” (their first vinyl will be released the 21 of June), his univers et son aesthetic oscillate between warrior downtempo, slow goa, EBM or italo disco and going to Techno, IDM or even Drum n’Bass : a mix that gives him a unique touch : #ArabianBodyMusic. A committed artist, he is very close to the Palestinian scene and cause. He signed his first track on the first Palestinian techno label “Harara” and was able to perform twice in Ramallah and Haifa. He recently released a track on Jennifer Cardini’s label, Dischi Autunno. He’s also Resident of the Monticule Festival (for 5 years) and Radio Flouka since this year, he is currently working on his first album. This summer he plays notably on Hör and at the Urban Spree in Berlin, at the ATOM Festival as well as at the ELECTRO ALTERNATIV festival..
// Jessika Khazrik جيسًًكا خزريك
Scavenging sounds from online and on-site detritus, trans-millennial compendia of healing, and militarised ads and technologies, Jessika Khazrik’s sonic scapes intimately investigate the ecological and techno-political premises of the economies we inhabit or forget. Often born out of vocoded collaborations with multi-modal neural networks skewed with incomputable Arabic rhythms, Khazrik festively uses spaces of congregation to search for locally entrenched universalisms that could collectively respond to the dystopias of our current times. Khazrik’s indisciplinary practice as artist, writer, technologist, producer and DJ ranges from composition to machine learning, performance, teaching, visual art, ecotoxicology and history of science and music. She also composes the score of the GEOCINEMA film and research project and often collaborates with artists and labels on album art and text.
